17 MONTHS

All she wants to do these days is play outside: blowing bubbles, looking with excitement (and a little fear) at the animals, drawing "babies" and "mamas" with chalk on the driveway, climbing, and exploring, and having the time of her life.

I've lost count of how many words she says... she's been stringing phrases together such as:

+ "Go mama please." (translation: Mama, can I go outside please?")
+ "Show watch please."
+ "No oatmeal. Toast.... please!"

She's discovered she gets her way much more often when she says please, which she pronounces "peez". Doesn't mean she doesn't forget sometimes (read: multiple times a day) and start to whine or cry instead. :)

She's also started calling me and Kirk "Mommy" and "Daddy" sometimes instead of "Mama" and "Dada". It's cute, but also a little bit heartbreaking. She's growing up so fast!
