The Hot List

Dress courtesy of Grandma & Grandpa Jorgensen

Ingrid, like most babies, is always becoming interested in new tricks, toys, sounds, etc... But she's a fickle one. What's "hot" in her book one week, by the next week could very well be "not".

Since this is my version of a baby journal, I think I'll try and keep track of things like that here. (Like most of this blog, this is probably only interesting to Ingrid's parents & grandparents... and maybe a few aunts & uncles. Ha ha.) Here it goes...

///// The Hot List /////

+ growling & grunting (Sometimes it sounds like she's in pain or going poo. She's not.)

+ putting one hand behind her thigh to help her legs up high into the air, then grabbing her feet with the other hand

+ trying to roll from her back to her tummy

+ "swimming" in the bathtub

+ trying to grab the electrical outlet while getting a diaper change

+ having crazy blowout diapers

+ bouncing around like crazy when you hold her

+ sitting up, in a wobbly way

p.s. That's Ingrid with her aunt Lisa hamming for the camera. They're both good at that. :)

Sunday Dinner

Ingrid with Granny

Ingrid made a brief appearance at Sunday dinner. She wore the yellow dress that my mom was blessed in.  (My aunt Lisa, my sister Caroline, and I all wore this dress as babies, too.) When the clock struck 6 o'clock, this little princess had to disappear for the night.  She was sad she had to miss out on the fun upstairs, and tried to have us come and retrieve her a couple of times.

My Mom's Teenage Trip to Greece

My mom recently found these photos of her family's trip to Greece in the 70's. I love it all -- the clothes, the hair, the sun drenched colors... Sign me up, please.

p.s. That's my mom in the pink dress.
